Corner of Bedroom - 1982
Liquitex on canvas 709mm x 1143mm

This painting was made directly after 'Blanket on Armchair' and uses a combination of hard and soft edges. Also the colours and tones are more subdued, with the subtle adjustment of hues representing certain elements of the scene reflected in the mirror on the wall.
The door and architrave are treated similarly with the line where the wall and ceiling meet, continuing across into the mirror; this results in pulling the whole composition together.

There were no more canvas paintings after this - two years elapsed before the much smaller 'Gardner Centre Side View' was painted.
