"HORSHAM
piano teacher Mark Reeves hosted a charity concert at Holy
Trinity Church Hall, in Rushams Road, at which 15 of his
piano students, aged from seven to 18, performed music in
classical, jazz and popular styles to raise money for the
[sic] The Children's Trust in Tadworth.
"The
standard of playing was extremely high from all the students,
many of whom kindly took time out from their busy exam revision
schedule, and their music was greatly enjoyed by an enthralled
audience of family members and friends who gave their support
generously.
"To
save the cost of hiring a grand piano for the event Mark
supplied his own professional digital stage piano and recorded
the concert to make CDs, which will be sold to raise even
more money for The Children's Trust.
"To
add to the fun, winning raffle ticket holders had to rummage
through a tub of 'worms' to find numbered biscuits that
identified which of the music-themed prizes they had won.
"The
concert ran very smoothly once again thanks to the kind
help of Angela and Clive Jones of Storrington. Sponsor money
is still rolling in and will eventually raise the grand
total to £400 or more as a donation to The Children's
Trust in Tadworth. For more information and photos visit:
